چکیده
The feasibility of using laser–cold metal transfer (CMT) misaligned hybrid welding to join an X80 line-pipe steel in a narrow gap configuration was investigated. laser beam interacted with the sidewall and its bottom at small angle, while CMT arc acted on backside beam. influence distance parameter between spot tip wire formation defects filled weld were Narrow bevel welds performed, joints tensile had satisfactory Charpy impact score. fracture is located base metal, ductile fracture. Under this condition, heat input could be efficiently reduced, preventing such as lack fusion reducing number pores. Additionally, affect zone (HAZ) obtained. results reveal that process, low-heat method, suitable for welding.

متن کاملMicrostructure and Mechanical Properties of Narrow Gap Laser-Arc Hybrid Welded 40 mm Thick Mild Steel
Both laser-arc hybrid welding and narrow gap welding have potential for the fabrication of thick sections, but their combination has been seldom studied. In this research, 40 mm thick mild steel was welded by narrow gap laser-arc hybrid welding. A weld with smooth layer transition, free of visible defects, was obtained by nine passes at a 6 mm width narrow gap. The lower part of the weld has th...
